About exhibition:
Sovetskaya is a historic quarter in the Yasamal district of Baku. Until the very beginning of its demolition, it functioned according to its own rules. This quarter was considered dangerous to outsiders, but its inhabitants were protected by a ‘code of honour ’and ‘local authorities’.

He visited Sovetskaya twice in 2019; first as an outsider later as a loyal visitor.

Sovetskaya Revisited is a photo-guided tour through this quarter, but also a view inside the mind of the photographer.

Exhibition will be available on 11 May 16:00
